Mr. Nelson Atanga Ayamdoo is the Director of Training at CEMLAWS. He has worked with the Ghana Armed Forces since 2010 as a Legal Officer where his roles include providing legal advice, reviewing cases, coordinating and delivering training and leading prosecutions. He is an Adjunct Lecturer of law at Mountcrest University College. He is also a part-time private legal practitioner. Mr. Ayamdoo holds a Master’s of Laws (LL.M) with Specialization in Natural Resources, Energy & Environmental Law from the University of Calgary, Canada, and a Master of Laws studies from the Cornell Law School, New York. He received his Bachelor of law degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. He is a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN) as well as the Ghana Bar Association. Nelson has research interests in natural resources, energy and environmental laws. He is a recipient of the Honorable N.D. McDermid Graduate Scholarship and also the Cornell University Institute for African Development Tuition Fellowship.
